My Story

Hello, I’m Acheneje Godwin Onuche

I am an award-winning applied mathematician who has taken many manuscripts from first draft to publication in Scopus-indexed journals — as an author, and as a peer reviewer.

My research focuses on mathematical modeling of infectious diseases — HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, COVID-19, monkeypox, hepatitis and more — using optimal control theory, fractional calculus and computational methods to inform public health interventions. That work has produced 38 publications, 20 of them indexed in Scopus, in journals including Scientific Reports, the International Journal of Biomathematics and Discover Public Health.

Reviewing manuscripts for Computational Biology and Chemistry, Physica Scripta and the Journal of Nonlinear Modeling and Analysis has shown me the other side of the process. I know what editors and reviewers look for — and the common, avoidable problems that lead to rejection.

I created Acheneje Research & Publication Hub to share that experience. As an academic writing mentor, I help researchers, students and professionals write stronger papers, choose the right journals and publish with confidence. With over 7 years of teaching mathematics at university and secondary school levels, I explain things clearly and patiently, and I enjoy watching people grow into confident authors.
